His Excellency Mr Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder, Minister of Youth & Sport Affairs participated in the event held at the World Youth Forum in Sharm El Sheikh to celebrate the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, in appreciation of his national and Arab stances, his clear and focused vision and his wisdom as one of the world’s most influential leaders, and the historic accomplishments that were achieved to his people and the whole nation.


The event also saw the presence of His Excellency Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Bahrain to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Assistant Undersecretary for Youth Affairs, Mrs Eman Janahi, Shaikha Muneera bint Mohamed Al Khalifa, Director of Youth Affairs, Mohamed Buali, Human Resources & Finance Manager, Tawfik Alsalhi, Head of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s Press Office.


His Excellency Mr Abdulfattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab State of Egypt handed over the token of appreciation to His Highness Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, in addition to a commemorative honoring shield from the World Youth Forum for his great achievements, noble values that he adopted and established in his people, his role in establishing the federation, and his keenness to place the UAE among the leading nations in the world.


The participating youth had announced, at the end of the ‘Model Arab African Summit’ held in the presence of HE Egyptian President, its recommendations to honour three historic personalities that brought tremendous positive changes to their nations and countries, including: the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late Nelson Mandella, and the late President Mohammed Anwar Al-Sadat. A documentary movie was broadcast shedding light on the story of these 3 leaders born in the same period and achieved many triumphs for their countries.


The documentary focused on Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahayan, his journey filled with giving, donating, inspiring a tolerance; he was a model of an inspirational and generous leadership, who employed these qualities to serve the causes of his country, people, and nation, with the aim to honour him across the region and in the whole world.
